Hey! Actually Chrismh may not be active specifically on this wiki but I did actually interact with them over the Kawaii Crush wiki like 5 days ago so they should be able to see your message if you maybe just try?
I came to report on a user named Lynne Warner for changing two pages to random titles. He or she has changed the titles of two pages from June Seashore to Dot Seashore and June Seashore/merchandise to Dot Seashore/merchandise. Can you please block him/her for a few months? Thank you.
Here are the links to show you proof that Lynne Warner did it:
Hi there! I wanted to reach out and see if you'd be interested in a wiki spiff. I'd curate a whole new main page including a new background skin. Anything and everything that I change is subject to your approval and can be reverted back if you don't like it. Let me know what you think and I can get started right away. =]
Okay I can whip something up using one of those. Thank you! Also, I changed the polls. When you're ready to update them, you can use this doc to help you through the process. I'll post the potential background here before I change it.
Awesome! Okay, changed the background skin to new one. One last thing: how active are your forums? And would you be opposed to me activating discussions on this wiki? They look and work like this: Westworld Discussions
Great! So I went ahead and activated them. You can find this new feature here: http://lalaloopsyland.wikia.com/d/f?sort=latest. Go ahead and customize it anyway you'd like! And, please, let me know if you need any help with that or anything else. =]
Hey! Unfortunately, we can't add it to that tab as the "On the Wiki" tab can't be customized. For now, I've added it to the MISC tab. But keep an eye out for updates to the header that might help out further.
This is a message for you about a misbehaving user called QueenCupcake435. I've heard that she's been spamming the comment sections of this wiki and being very immature. She's also very opinionated and hates lots of things, even if they aren't Lalaloopsy-related. She keeps threatening to ban some users on this wiki who haven't done anything wrong. She thinks that you can be banned from the wiki if you're too old, but that isn't true. Of course, they can ban you for being too young (12 or under) but they won't ban you for being too old (59 or over). She'd be more likely to be banned since she acts like an immature brat and keeps spamming. All she ever does is spam, vandalize, and necropost. She doesn't seem to learn her lesson, and I don't think three months is enough. I think she needs to be blocked for about a few more months, or even a year. Maybe it should show her the way she's acting, and hopefully she'll learn her lesson.
Not Kuklopedia somewhere else, sites where they sell the toys actually.
It's been a long while, using the their Russian names was not as good as I think it would (like 2 characters sharing the same name and alternate names which aren't the real ones). To my conclusion, it would be better if they used the transliterated English names in Russian (like Майтеы Анкорс instead of Моряк for Matey Anchors).
I see that you're interested, as of now I'm putting you in-charge of the entire operation.
"It would be better if they used the transliterated English names in Russian"
I agree with you. Foreign resellers need to use the original names of the toys. The original name is a trademark, it's important recognizable sign.
But such scheme is nearly inapplicable for TV show translation (especially for interlocution of the characters). Slavic transliteration of the English names sounds very odd.
Certainly, we can transliterate the English names, but we can't understand and keep in mind such names. For example: The name "Crumbs Sugar Cookie" sounds so whimsically for Ukrainian ears, how "Sladkoegzhka"-name sounds strange for American ears :-)
That's why, our translators decided to do not a literal translation.
By the way, I intend to write to the MGA Rus.
I want to ask them:
1) "Will they translate Netflix series in Russian somewhen?"
2) "Which Russian studio made the adaptation of the TV-show and web-episodes?"
If be honest, I don't believe that they will respond me ;-) Because I'm only a private person...
All the best!
P.S. Thanks for made me the admin. of the Rus. Lalawiki :-)
I would recommend transliteration in Cyrillic letters, not to cause any confusion.
As of early this month, there was no dubbing (or even subtitles) available in the Russian language in the Netflix series. With the other several dubbings and subtitles already in place and no visible Russian credits, release is unlikely.
Russian credits are also not visible in the dubbed videos for TV-shows and web-episodes I've seen, therefore I can't provide a definite answer.
Hi! Thanks for your last reply :-) Maybe some Russian TV channel will buy, translate and air the Netflix series someday... I'm interested, why MGA didn't create the third season in common with Nickelodeon? (I mean full-size classic TV show: 22 minutes per episode, 24-26 episodes per season). I think that the classic TV show it's better than the Netflix format. Maybe Nickelodeon wasn't interested to do the third season?
I need some images to decorate the Russian Lalawiki. Would you mind if I downloaded some of your screenshots from English Lalawiki? For example, I did the new slider with your images.
