Lalaloopsy Girls: Welcome to L.A.L.A. Prep School is the fifth Lalaloopsy movie and the first movie based on the Lalaloopsy Girls spin-off line. It was released on September 7, 2014 on DVD. The movie revolves around the Lalaloopsy Academy for Learning Arts (L.A.L.A.) and the Lalaloopsy Girls who have enrolled in the academy.

The Lalaloopsy girls are all grown up – and headed for the Lalaloopsy Academy for Learning Arts! The friends discover their new school is super cool – and sew much fun! It's a semester full of laughs and excitement as the girls take creative classes like Glitter 101 and Cloud Sculpting, join silly clubs, make new friends, and watch as Jewel Sparkles runs for student body president!
Summary[]
Jewel is driving up to the Lalaloopsy Academy for Learning Arts for her first day of prep school, only to meet up with Butterfly. Once she arrives, she parks her car in a no-parking spot and gets out with her school acceptance box. Jewel enters the school, and as she is walking through the hallway, she crashes into a purple-haired girl. The girl introduces herself as Storm E. Sky and leaves, annoyed that Jewel made her late.
Jewel decides to dismiss the incident and goes to get her school picture taken. While Jewel attempts to make sure her picture ends up perfect, Bea, Spot, Tippy, Peanut, Pix E., Mittens, Storm E., and Cloud E. get their school photo taken as well.
Jewel is strolling through the dorm room hallway when Crumbs offers her a batch of bubblegum brownies. Jewel tells Crumbs she will accept them when she leaves her stuff in her room. Crumbs enters her room to get the brownies out of the oven, only for the tray to be empty. Suspicious, Crumbs tells Mouse to open his mouth, and he blows a bubble made of bubblegum.
At her dorm room, Peanut tells Elephant to point a spotlight towards her, then tells him to point it towards Pillow, who is sleeping under a bedsheet.
In Mittens' dorm room, Mittens is assessing her cocoa remedy collection. She is upset that her roommate still has not arrived yet, so she decides to knit her a welcome scarf.
Jewel is setting up her dorm room, and she is exhausted. She orders Cat and Firefly to move some of her remaining furniture.
Meanwhile, Storm E. is eyeing her roommate's side of the dorm room, figuring she will share nothing in common with her. It is then when Cloud E. arrives and cheerfully introduces herself to Storm E. Sky. Despite Cloud E.'s good intentions, Storm E. is only frustrated by her hyperactivity and saccharine mannerisms.
Outside the school, Jewel attempts a dramatic entrance, only for Storm E. to inadvertently ruin it by arriving before her. Suzette then shows up to lead a school tour. First stop is Thimble Hall - a cafeteria including a waffle ice cream sandwich station, a pretzel cupcake buffet, and a frozen yogurt machine.
Next stop is the school hallway, where classes such as Glitter Sciences, Chemistry of Cocoa, Cloud Sculpting, and the Winter Studies Lab are found. The students then arrive at the button tree, which Bea notes was where the very first class in L.A.L.A. Prep School was held.
The final stop is the bulletin board, which shows information about ongoing and upcoming school events. Jewel notices a paper that announces openings for student body president, and she decides to run for the position. She does not entirely understand the concept of running for student body president at first, and Suzette announces the election will be in two weeks.
Suzette ends the tour, feeling extremely tired, and suggests the students explore on their own. Jewel passes out campaign flyers to everyone else, with Storm E. questioning how she managed to make them so quickly.
The next day, Cloud E. catches Storm E. in the hallway, who tries to ignore her. They see Dot outside Star-Catching Class and Spot exiting a secret passage. Cloud E. and Storm E. then enter Glitter Sciences class, where the latter argues with Jewel while Cloud E. and Pix E. work together.
Jewel is back at her dorm room, where she works with Spot and Pix E. on her presidential campaign. She suggests changing Tiara Tuesdays to "Tiara Everydays" while Pix E. adds the finishing touches to the posters.
In Storm E. and Cloud E.'s dorm rooms, Cloud E. is dancing to her "happy song", which Storm E. finds irritating. It reaches the point where Storm E. shouts at her to stop. Cloud E. is apologizing to Storm E. when Mittens enters the room.
Mittens serves Storm E. calming cocoa due to her fight with Jewel. Storm E. accepts the cocoa and drinks it while complaining about Jewel's behavior; she states that if she became student body president, she would actually listen to the students' requests instead of only doing things she would want. After Mittens leaves to get a new cup of cocoa, Cloud E. notices Storm E. is feeling a bit tense, so she plays the happy song again.
The girls are outside at their respective clubs, with Bea Spells-a-lot handing out a clipboard while asking students to subscribe to the Daily Stitch and informing them of the club perks if they subscribe. Tippy and Crumbs rush to where Bea is and both of them ask if they could sign up. Owl gives the spools to Tippy and Crumbs, who receive the wooden spools that print out the past, current, and upcoming events.
Bea then tells the girls to make sure to keep it with them at all times. They then receive a print saying "Breaking news!: Tippy and Crumbs subscribed to the Daily Stitch" with Crumbs excitedly saying "I'm breaking news!". Then Jewel appears (in her own booth), asking people to vote her. Jewel asks if Peanut can vote for her. Peanut hesitates if she should vote for Jewel or not, then she asks Jewel how she feels about juggling, to which Jewel responds that she is "pro juggling".
Peanut confirms she will vote for Jewel; however, Elephant gets concerned because of Jewel's comments for "Performance Arts Funding For Elephants". Storm E. criticizes Jewel about how she feels about that. Jewel then says she's in full support of the funding for all pets, elephants included. With the support in mind, Elephant excitedly approves it twice.
Peanut says that she and Elephant can count on themselves to vote for Jewel. Jewel then gives Peanut a button; however, Peanut says that the button looks like the "Vote for Storm E." buttons. Both Jewel and Storm E. scream in disbelief. Peanut then explains that she got one at a Storm E. booth and points at the booth itself, where Cloud E. Sky is smiling and waving.
Jewel and Storm E. approach the booth where Cloud E. is. Storm E. then asks why there is a booth for her. She then tells Cloud E. that she isn't going to run for President. Jewel then tells Storm E. and Cloud E. that she isn't gonna run, if not she isn't allowed to run for president. Storm E. then tells Jewel why she can't run for president.
Storm E. and Jewel then argue about why Storm E. can't run for president, and Storm E. tells Jewel that she'll be humiliated in front of everybody when Jewel wins the election. Jewel then says that Storm E. isn't the most approachable student, and Cloud E. gasps and tells Jewel that Storm E. is approachable and then hugs Storm E.
Bea then appears, telling the girls rumors that Jewel is gonna run against Storm E. for president despite Jewel having a guaranteed chance of getting elected. Bea then asks Storm E. if she's gonna comment for the Daily Stitch, Jewel interrupts Bea and Storm E., saying that Storm E. has nothing to comment and asks Bea why Storm E. even has to run for President. She tells Bea that she will win the election. Storm E. then tells Bea that she will comment and that she will be running for president while Jewel gasps in disbelief, with Cloud E. clapping and Jewel grunting angrily.
The Lalaloopsy Girls are now at the button tree, with Spot saying how the history of the button is way more complex than she could have imagined, and Bea agrees. Bea then explains the journey of the button holes and how fascinating it is. Storm E. and Cloud E. then looks at a book, and Cloud E. says that they will have to trace their button history by tonight. Cloud E. gets slightly confused and worried, and she tells Storm E. that she isn't good at staying within the lines. Storm E. then explains to Cloud E. that they're actually supposed to find where they're from and who they are related to.
The girls on the other side of Storm E. and Cloud E. then talk and laugh about how Jewel is the best. Storm E. overhears this and laments how Jewel is known and loved by everyone and how difficult it would be to win the election. Cloud E. then tries to comfort Storm E. by saying how everyone didn't get a chance to meet Storm E. and informing her that Cloud E. is full of campaign suggestions. Storm E. then jokingly tells Cloud E. if she should give out hugs and cookies and tells her that it's "not gonna happen". Cloud E. denies it, then crosses out the suggestions "Hugs" and "Cookies" on her clipboard. Cloud E. then tells Storm E. that she has more suggestions and tells Storm E. to trust her and then pulls Storm E. out.
Jewel and Pix E. walk past the pets during Cat Napping 101 to the poll board. Jewel notices that her "100%" lead has now turned into a "90%" lead and becomes disappointed. Pix E. then doesn't understand why Jewel is upset and tells Jewel that she is still in the lead. Jewel, however, says that she's still going to win this at a 100% and not get too comfortable. Jewel then says that she is going to step up her game for the campaign.
Jewel goes to her dorm room surrounded by the pets and says that she loves animals and that she has a gentle way with them. Jewel then hugs her Persian Cat. Storm E. tries the same thing in her dorm room; Cloud E. is there and tells Storm E. to give Mouse a kiss, to which Storm E. looks away in disgust. Jewel then waters the flowers outside with a watering can with Peanut and Dot passing by and waving. Storm E. does the same thing using a water hose; the hose proves to be too powerful for Storm E. and ends up splashing the flowers. Jewel gives Pix E. a makeover in their rooms, however Jewel's makeover seemingly does not change Pix E. Storm E. does the same thing and ends up giving Cloud E. a clown like makeover; Cloud E. however, smiles.
At the courtyard, Storm E. and Cloud E. check out the poll meter along with Bea and Dot. The meter then lowers back to Jewel's side by a lot. Cloud E. worryingly asks Bea if the poll is on. Dot then explains that the poll board sometimes get stuck to which Bea says that she's going to try while saying its a delicate, scientific instrument. Bea then uses a wooden mallet and hits the machine, sticking it more into the ground. Said machine then randomly shifts between multiple bars all the while Cloud E. and Storm E. look on hoping it hits Storm E.'s side. The arrow on the board lands right back to where the arrow once was, much to the dismay of Cloud E. and Storm E. Dot jokingly says that the good news is that the poll board is still working. Cloud E. then makes a face of reassurance to show Storm E. that they can still win this, with Storm E. disproving that it won't work.
Storm E. goes to the library along with Cool Cat, they sit on a table and Storm E. talks about if she will win the election or not. Bea comes along and notices that Storm E. is upset and asks for anything for the Daily Stitch, Storm E. says that she's good, and Bea responds by saying that she hopes it wasn't the poll-a-meter, saying that the indication could be wrong and that there might be a chance of success. Storm E. says that she doesn't get why her campaign didn't and that she did the campaign so that so everyone would know who she is and the arrow just went for Jewel. Bea becomes honest and says that she did everything Jewel did and not the things Storm E. would do. Storm E. responds with "That obvious huh?". Bea then says that she doesn't need to try and be someone else and tries to motivate Storm E. into showing her true self to which Storm E. agrees. Storm E. thanks Bea for showing Storm E. to be her true self.
The Lalaloopsies gather at an outdoor classroom for Cloud Sculpting 101, each sculpting something different out of clouds. Cloud E. sculpts a bone out of the clouds, however, Poodle got ahold of the bone and Cloud E. tells her to drop it and that the clouds are delicate. Suddenly, a rain cloud comes pouring down on Jewel and then immediately stops, Jewel then complains that someone could contain their cloud. Storm E. then replies that she is trying to control her cloud, Jewel responds with that Storm E. should avoid the storm clouds because they're unpredictable. Storm E. then says that she likes unpredictable, however the storm cloud slipped from her hands into the sky and pours down on the class. Storm E. catches the storm cloud and then apologizes.
Jewel then explains to Storm E. that her hair doesn't style itself and that cat spent a lot of time curling it in the morning. Cat then shows a hair brush with her tail while showing her frustration. Storm E. then says why everyone is mad at her and goes on to explain that rain is amazing and lets the storm cloud loose on purpose to show how amazing storm clouds is. Storm E. then proceeds to stand up and jumps on a puddle of water and then Cloud E., Spot, and the rest of the girls join in the fun with Tippy saying that she's dancing in the rain, however their fun was interrupted by the huge sun with the cloud disappearing. But then a rainbow shows thanks to the rain Storm E. made. The girls then become amused that a rainbow showed up with Cloud E. running up to Storm E. and saying that she made a rainbow, then the girls except for Jewel, started to cheer for Storm E. but Jewel then grunts with her arms crossed while still in her chair. Jewel then is frustrated in front of the camera.
Jewel, Pix E. and Tippy are in Jewel & Pix E.'s Dorm room, thinking on what they're going to do next for Jewel's campaign thanks to Storm E. creating a Rainbow. Pix E. corrects Jewel that Storm E. created three rainbows, then Tippy said it was a dozen rainbows. Jewel tells the girls to stay on topic of big ideas. Pix E. says "Glitter!" for an idea while Jewel saying bigger. "Something that screams Jewel"- Jewel Sparkles. Tippy says "Photo flash mob?" with Jewel replying "That screams Tippy". Pix E. then suggests a party. Jewel approves it but then asks what kind of party. Pix E. then suggests a glitter party, followed by Tippy suggesting a Flash mob again, then changing it to a Sleepover because of Jewel's disapproving face. Jewel then thinks of how the sleepover, then approves it completely. They will have the sleepover party before the polls close, giving "Everyone a chance to remember how much they'll love me and I'll be sure to be elected."- Jewel Sparkles.
The girls watch Mittens prepare some kind of hot cocoa mixture in the Chemistry of Cocoa class. Everyone is amazed. Mittens explains to everyone that she has just been practicing. Jewel enters the classroom via a secret entrance behind some barrels. Jewels calls and catches everyone's attention. Storm E. says that Jewel isn't part of the class but Jewel has a very important announcement. Pix E. got curious and asked if it got to the point of emergency. Pix E. stares at an emergency glitter and attempts to run to it but fails as Jewel grabs Pix E. by one of her wings. Jewel explains that the important announcement isn't at emergency level but is worthy of her attention. Cat comes in through the secret entrance where Jewel entered with some invitations on her head. Jewel announces that she wants to invite everyone to her Sleepover party at Friday night. She says that there will be Snacks, Dancing, and Makeovers, which she recommends to some of them. Cloud E. says that they'll be there. Jewel says that they must wear they're finest PJ's and fuzzy slippers. Jewel tells Bea to take a picture for the daily stitch to show an official record that Jewel is inviting her opposition, a.k.a Storm E. and Bea takes a photo. Jewel looks at the camera while showing one of the invitations to the party while Storm E. looks at Jewel with a stern look.
In Storm E's and Cloud E's dorm room, Storm E. is knitting a woolly hat for Fuzzy Wuzzy Wool Class as an assignment. She shows it to Cool Cat and takes one looks at it, and giving the impression he doesn't know what it is. Storm E. says it's a hat and puts said hat on Cool Cat, covering his eyes. Cloud E. happily enters the dorm room with poodle jumping up & down, following her. Storm E. immediately spots her and Cool Cat hides inside the hat. Storm E. tells Cool Cat to give her the hat to try to hide in the hat. Cloud E. (mysteriously) appears on Storm E's bed, shocking Storm E. and asks Storm E. from behind to hide from what. Storm E. tell Cloud E. that she was gonna hide from her. Cloud E. laughs thinking it was a joke and said that she never gets her jokes while patting her head. Cloud got her a "little something" and tells Storm E. to close her eyes. Storm E. doesn't close her eyes. and Cloud E. tells Storm E. to open her hands... Which her hands are open. Cloud E. pulls out to 2 chain necklaces of a white fluffy cloud. The Cloud necklace is separable with a rainbow for Cloud E's necklace and with a light bolt coming out of the other for Storm E. and both can (not magnetically) connect to each other saying "Best Friends". Cloud E. moves closer to Storm E's face to show her literal best friendship to Storm E. Cool cat comes out of the woolly hat and coughs twice (Presumably) to gasp for air. Cloud E. insists Storm E. to wear it. Storm E. tells her that she'll wear it later. Her neck is surprisingly sensitive (But obviously this is a lie). Cloud E's wooden spool start ringing and start printing out the "Breaking" news. The news state that the presidential debate will start tomorrow. Storm E. didn't know about a debate. Storm E's face suddenly turns to worry. Cloud E. said that she told her and said that as if she isn't listening. Cloud E. a.k.a Storm E's bestie, luckily has made (a stack of) flash cards.
In Jewel's and Pix E's dorm room (meanwhile) are starting to study for the presidential debate. Pix E. starts the begins the question, coincidentally Cloud E. and Storm E. are also studying for the debate. Cloud E. starts first question which is to name 500 shades of pink. Storm E. gets (presumably very) confused. Cloud E. realizes her mistake and corrects it which the actual question is to name 5 shades of pink. Storm E. struggles what names which are pink. Storm E's answers are pink, another pink... Meanwhile Jewel answers (flawlessly), naming the 5 shades of pink. Pastel pink, neon pink, rose, pale rose, magenta and cupid's blush. Pix E. congratulates Jewel for the answers. Both Pix E. and Cloud E. move on to the next question. The next question is to name some fabrics that are shiny. Storm E. struggles to answer the question for a few seconds before passing. Jewel answers satin, patent leather, silk, lame and asks if she may go on. Pix E. and Cloud E. move on to the next question. The next question is the three/3 common stitches. Jewel answers chain stitch, cross stitch and zigzag stitch, meanwhile Storm E. answers the first, second, and third stitch. Pix E. moves on to the next question which are common reasons to use glitter. Jewel answers that it is a trick question and also states that there is no reason not to use glitter. Storm E. was confused as to the question "Common reasons to use glitter". She struggles for a bit. Cloud E. reassures her that she will make sure that she won't lose the debate, even if it means studying day & night, Cloud is determined. Storm E. frowns with this.
Both Storm E. and Cloud E. Sky are in the library, sitting on a table while Bea is on the background reading a book. Cloud exclaims that the library is the perfect place to study since they're the only ones in there (when Bea is clearly in the library but the latter doesn't notice) for the upcoming debate. Storm E. reminds that there is no talking since they're in a library. Cloud talks in a whisper like tone for a few seconds before talking loudly again but Storm E. once again reminds her about silence. Cloud E. nods to her, understanding of what she said. They stay quiet for a solid 7 seconds before Cloud E. whispers to Storm E. about her homework in buttonology class as she found something strange. According to the homework, Cloud E. claims that she and Storm E. are sisters. Storm E. suddenly raises her storm cloud and lets out a a huge "WHAT". As she said the "what", Cool Cat stands up straight (or sits up straight). Suddenly Bea (still in the background) shushes her. Storm E. returns to the whispering toned voice and asks how Cloud E. got that. Cloud E. explains that if they both track they're stitch lines and compare both their button lineage, they would be connected/the buttons would be connected. Cloud E. also adds that they both have the same last name's. (Storm E. Sky & Cloud E. Sky.) Storm E. was surprised and doesn't believe it. Cloud says the same in an excited manner. Both of the girls exclaim they have a sister as Cloud E. says in an excited & happy way while Storm E. looks down and face palms as they say they have a sister. Cloud E. stands up and tries to give Storm E. a hug but Storm E. refuses as she is hugging the storm cloud. Storm E. is not amused or impressed by Cloud E's attempt. Cloud E. asks what's the manner in a cheerful way. Storm E. exclaims that it's hard to believe. Cloud E. frowns. Storm E. continues to explain that she doesn't believe and that they have nothing in common and see Cloud E. as her sister. Cloud E. sadly says "Never?" but Storm E. exclaims to not take it the wrong way... Storm E. adds that she just finds it really, really... Really hard to believe that the both of them are related. Cloud E. runs off, sadly. Storm E. tries to stop her which fails. The storm cloud starts to pour rain on Storm E. signifying how much she screwed up. Cool cat runs off while Storm E. says that she deserves it, while Owl watch the whole thing happen and Bea still reading a book.
Storm E. is in her dorm room playing her thunder-bolt shaped guitar. Cloud E. enters the dorm room, still frowning. Cloud E. heads towards her half a of the room. Storm E. attempts to talk to her which fails because Cloud E. closes a curtain, which acts like a partition/wall to their room (or rooms). Storm E. calls her name but then Poodle heads under the partition and throws Cloud E's necklace. Storm E. holds on to it, clenching her left fist and her face, still full of regret. Storm E's wooden spool spits out some "breaking" news. The news says that both Storm E. and Jewel are in a tie in an especially presidential race. And the upcoming debate decide who will receive the role. The Debate will happen the following day.
Cloud E. is in Cloud Sculpting-101 (still frowning), making a bone shaped cloud. Storm E. approaches her, asking her if she would like to be her partner to shape a double cloud for the day. Cloud E. moves to the other side to deny Storm E. from sitting with her and answering a simple "No" although Cloud E. still frowns. Storm E. walks away then Spot walks towards Cloud E. Cloud E. asks if Spot would like to do the double shape cloud assignment with her. Spot accepts the offer. Storm E. looks back and sees this and she continues to frown. Storm E. continues to walk away.
The girls are seen next in Thimble Hall, eating lunch. (April Sunsplash and Dot Starlight are seen in the background.) Storm E. is seen walking in the middle of the room with a tray of food, before spotting Cloud E. and Crumbs and approaches them to sit down and eat with the latter. Cloud E. tells Crumbs on how pink looks good, then Storm E. approaches Cloud E. but then Cloud E. suddenly moves to her right, preventing Storm E. from sitting down. Storm E. frowns and walks away with her tray of food. Crumbs asks Cloud E. that why can't Storm E. sit with them, and adds that she thought they were best friends. Cloud E. looks at Crumbs with a stern look, while telling that they weren't best friends anymore.

Currently there is only ever 1 question ever used.

The original question was "Name 5 shades of pink" as seen with the girls studying the day before. The question was modified from 5 to 3 instead. And since Storm E. forfeited the debate, the debate no longer used anymore questions other than the shades of pink. Another thing to point out is that Jewel used two different answers instead. These two new answers were hot and light pink. These two newer answers are most likely her asking to add more shades of pink as she said 6 instead of 5 during their practice questions the day before the debate.

- Pillow was only heard snoring and under a blanket and was not really seen.
- Dyna's voice actress is not credited.
- Closed captioning accidentally refers to Suzette as "Yvette Magique".
- Although Dot was with the main group, she had a very small speaking role.
- This is Storm E. and Cloud E. Sky's very first appearance in Lalaloopsy Media.
- The scene where Storm E. uses a gramophone to get Cloud E.'s attention is a reference to the 1989 movie Say Anything, specifically the scene where Lloyd Dobler tries to reconcile with Diane Court by playing a boombox under her bedroom window.
- According to Bea, there were multiple classes about the history of buttons, implying there was at least one generation before the main Lalaloopsies.
- Jewel’s side bangs are missing once she is done talking to Storm E. They return in the next scene.
- When Storm E. is getting cocoa from Mittens, one of her ponytails is missing and reappears after the next scene.
- Cristina Vee is misspelled as “Christina Vee” in the credits. This is an explicit mistake as this is fixed in the next set of credits.
