3D Land is a game where the player can explore Lalaloopsy Land. There are different Lalaloopsies the player can play as, with each having their own pet and different outfits to choose from. There are also minigames the player can play, along with several other activities. 3D Land is playable with the discontinued Unity Web Player on Lalaloopsy's official website. As of 2016, it is no longer possible to play the game on the website.

Gameplay[]

The game starts with Bea Spells-a-Lot at the playground area. There are three button-themed buttons on the top left of the game, with each having their own function.

When the player clicks the "menu" button, the player will see the following options:

  • My Doll: Which allows the player to pick which Lalaloopsy the player wish to play as
  • Map: Which lets the player travel around Lalaloopsy Land.
  • Mini Games: Which takes the player to the games page.
  • My Dressup: Which allows the player to change the outfits.
  • Exit: Takes the player out of the menu

Beside the menu button, there is a four arrow button that puts the game in fullscreen, and a speaker icon button that mutes or unmutes the game.

Controls[]

The player uses the arrow keys to move around, and the left mouse button to click on an "!" icon when it appears on screen. Special activities (view below) are controlled in specific ways.

Characters[]

There is a total of 16 different Lalaloopsies in the game to choose and play as, with each having their own unique idle animation. The Lalaloopsies can also be found in front of their houses, talking to them can lead the player to their minigame.

Outfits[]

By clicking on "My Dressup", the player will be presented with seven different outfits that they can choose for a Lalaloopsy to wear. However, Patch Treasurechest only has three outfits to choose from. The outfits are as follows:

  • Default Costume
  • Bathrobe
  • Pajamas
  • Party Dress
  • Red Party Dress
  • Swimsuit
  • Raincoat

Clicking on the "map" button in the menu will open up a map for instant travel across the game's areas. There are a total of 11 unique areas in the game, along with a playground area. The areas the player can visit are as follows (following the path from bottom to top):

Activities[]

Many activities are located at the playground.

  • Tippy-Totter: A Lalaloopsy rides on one side of a seesaw while their pet is on the other. Use the right key when the Lalaloopsy hits the ground and left when its the pet.
  • Candy Carousel: Tap the right or left arrow keys and watch the lalaloopsy and pet swing around!
  • Ducky Spring Rider: A Lalaloopsy sits on a cute duck shaped riding toy while the pet rides the front. Use any arrow key to rock Lalaloopsy
  • Button Bouncer: Use the up arrow key to make the Lalaloopsy bounce up and down
  • Jungle Gym: Move around a play set controlling the Lalaloopsy. First begins up a small set of stairs, then cautiously move across a pole, then up a large set of stairs, over through a circled part, then down the slide!
  • Swayin' Swings: A Lalaloopsy and their pet both sit on seperate swings. Up and Down controls the pet, while Left and Right controls the Lalaloopsy.

Other activities include:

  • Boat Ride: Use any of the arrow keys to control the boat.
  • Ice Skating: To reach Swirly's house the player must cross the frozen waters! Use the arrow keys.
  • Swimming: Works much like the boat ride and Ice skating. Your Lalaloopsy takes on a mermaid suit and will swim underneath the waters to reach Coral's house.
  • Kite flying: Use the arrow keys to move a kite around.

Unused Content[]

3D Land has many pieces of unused content, most unused content existed in previous versions of the game. The biggest change is several areas being removed when all houses used to be in one area, previous areas had the houses surrounding a river and an island in the center with a playground. Another area featured a larger ice skating rink.

Several characters such as Marina Anchors, Holly Sleighbells, Sir Battlescarred, Lady Stillwaiting, Peppy Pom Poms, and Suzette La Sweet have models but would remain unused in the game, these models can be seen in the Birthday Videos. Other characters such as Cotton Hoppalong, Candy Broomsticks, Lalaloopsy Littles Bundles Snuggle Stuff, and Squirt Lil Top have models, but were only used in promotional images by the Lalaloopsy Facebook page. Alternate fashions featuring Patch's skeleton costume and Berry's bee costume would also only be used in promotional material. A 3D model of Bea's Bus remains unused, but was later shown by the developers of the game.

Trivia[]

  • Mittens' last name is misspelled as "Suff" instead of "Stuff".
  • Occasionally the player will encounter a rain cloud in the Lake.
  • The only playable characters without a home are Tippy, Sahara, Berry, Blossom, and Sunny.
  • Spot's skin is a lot lighter than it normally is.
  • Originally, the minigames could only be played through 3D Land. Due to website changes, it's been removed. At the time, if one wants to play the mini games, they will be taken to the games page of the website, officially shutting down 3D Land.
