Charlotte Charades first appeared in the webisode, The Best Pet House Never Seen.

PR Description[]

Charlotte doesn't talk, but she has a lot to say. A natural mime, she chooses to express herself through body movements and facial expressions and has no trouble making herself heard. Charlotte's powers of imagination – and her skills at miming – are so strong, she can make others see what she sees, even her invisible pet, which she walks on the end of a leash attached to a collar. Because she doesn't speak – or interrupt – she's a particularly good listener, someone in whom the other Lalaloopsy dolls can confide. As a running gag on the series, every once and a while it will seem as if Charlotte is about to say something but, just before she does, that moment will be interrupted, i.e. an O.S. horn will blast loudly, or someone else will come running up, breathless, to announce an emergency that requires everyone's immediate attention.[1]

Personality[]

Common among all appearances of Charlotte is that she doesn't speak and only uses gestures to communicate with her friends.

Nick Jr. Series[]

Charlotte doesn't speak at all in the series, yet she still likes to be with her friends most of the time. She is polite and lets her friends take the time to understand her. Some Lalaloopsies understand her gestures clearly while others have trouble understanding what her gestures mean, which makes Charlotte have to repeat herself sometimes. Charlotte often interacts with things that are invisible, and her friends can also interact with these invisible things.

Tales From Lalaloopsy Land: Snowy Fairest[]

Charlotte is at a sleepover party at Crumbs' house with Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Feather Tell-a-Tale, Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises, Berry Jars 'N' Jam, and Pillow Featherbed. There, Charlotte is miming with her friends and showing them how to mime like her when Snowy Fairest comes and joins the party. The next morning, Charlotte goes with the other Lalaloopsies for a walk outside while Snowy stays behind to clean. Charlotte comes back to Crumbs' house with her friends to find Snowy and Squrriel asleep on the floor; she points out the empty basket next to Snowy and thinks that Snowy and Squrriel choked on what she ate. When Snowy wakes up, Charlotte points to the basket next when Snowy says that she ate too many buns.

The Best Pet House Never Seen[]

Charlotte is walking along Lalaloopsy Land until she meets Forest Evergreen; she shows him that she wants to make a house for Pet. Forest and Beaver then build a wooden house, but Pet doesn't like the house and gives it to Beaver. Charlotte then goes to Mittens, who makes an igloo for Pet, but Pet still doesn't like it for being too cold. She then goes to Bea Spells-a-Lot to get an invisible book for building invisible houses. Charlotte, Forest, Mittens, and Bea help with building the invisible house. After Pet plays around in the house, it jumps on Charlotte, which makes her laugh with the other Lalaloopsies.

S1E17 Charlotte with a flyer

Charlotte hanging up a flyer

Charlotte and her pet are meeting Crumbs Sugar Cookie on the road when all of a sudden Pet is unleashed and runs away. Charlotte and Crumbs go and look for Pet, and they go to Spot Splatter Splash for help. Charlotte tells Spot to paint flyers about Pet, and Spot makes fifty for Charlotte and Crumbs. After hanging some of the flyers along with some invisible ones, Charlotte suggests to Crumbs to make food for Pet; they then head over to Crumbs' house to make invisible treats. They lay some of the treats on the ground outside and later fall asleep.

After waking up, Charlotte learns that Pet has eaten the treats and headed into a forest. After not finding Pet at the forest, she heads back after she and Crumbs realize they left the basket behind and think that Pet might be there. Charlotte and Crumbs go back to the basket and unite with Peanut Big Top, Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises, Blossom Flowerpot, and Spot Splatter Splash, who were coming back from a hike. Rosy tells Charlotte "the answer is always right nearby," afterwhich Charlotte finds Pet next to some flower bushes. After reuniting, Charlotte tells the Lalaloopsies that Pet was playing hide and seek. Charlotte and the other Lalaloopsies then get dragged away by Pet on Rosy's medical cart.
